Severe Depression Some Facts

Severe depression refers to the bouts of sadness, grief, stress and unhappiness. This condition is often observed at the death of a near one or occurrence of personal tragedies like loss of job, divorce. However, according to experts, in case of a mild outbreak of depression, people are able to fight it and return to their normal state of mind in a few days. However, in case the symptoms of the same are observed for more than days and weeks, the condition becomes a severe depression, better known as clinical depression. This intense state of depression becomes a perpetual illness which is a lot more than a temporary state of sadness, grief or stress. In case of the onset of this depressive state of mind, one’s return to resume the normal chores of life becomes a challenge. In worst stages, this state of mind may force people to end their life by committing suicide. In such cases, a depressive patient becomes a burden on himself as well as his close ones.

There are numerous anti-depressive medicines that work effectively towards refreshing one’s depressive thoughts with fresh and encouraging ones. However, these medicines only offer treatment for the present state of mind and do not control further recurrences.
