Chronic depression is one of the medical conditions that let the person feel so low and not able to concentrate on anything such as works or family obligations. Trycyclic include amitriptyline (brand name: Elavil), desipramine (brand name: Norpramin), imipramine (brand name: Tofranil) and nortriptyline (brand names: Aventyl, Pamelor).
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) are another early form of antidepressant. These drugs are most effective in people with depression who do not respond to other treatments. |
