Does Depression Cause Health Problems?

A great number of people- about five to ten percent of the population have a major depression at any stage of their life and it is estimated that 15 percent of people develops major depression sometime in their life.

There is no doubt that depression causes in a major rising risk of development of cardiovascular activities and stroke. That is depressed patients are more likely to have a heart attack, to suffer from congestive heart failure and to have a variety of other cardiac abnormalities than individuals without depression.
