Depression: Discussion on Triggers

There are quite a few medical conditions that are likely to trigger depression in human beings. This makes it increasingly important for the doctors and experts to diagnose the underlying condition before peeping deeper into the problem.

Depression is a broader term for different medical conditions that leads to one mental disorder. There are varied complications and medical conditions that might trigger depression, and very much without your knowledge. Of all the conditions the most common ones are thyroid, brain injury, cardiac conditions and brain diseases.

Thyroid is one of the most well know cause of depression young men and women. Both under-active and overactive thyroid is responsible for causing depression. Whilst it is possible to diagnose thyroid by a simple blood sample test, it is difficult to identify depression. Treating thyroid on time can help in relieving the symptoms of depression.

Brain diseases and brain injury can also cause depression. Brain diseases like Alzheimer, Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease leads to depression.

Cardiac problems like strokes, heart attacks and other such conditions can be aggressively depressing for some people.

While these are some of the common medical causes of depression, these conditions might not prevail in all cases of depression.
