Cymbalta General Information:-

Cymbalta is an anti-depressant drug of the class of Serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) that is used to cure major depression and some other mood disorders. The medicine is used to cure major depressive disorder (MDD), General Anxiety Disorder (GAD), stress urinary incontinence, fibromyalgia and painful peripheral neuropathy.

The FDA (Food and Drug Administration of USA) approved and accepted Cymbalta as an anti-depressant for depression and diabetic neuropathy in 2004. In the same year, Cymbalta was also approved in the European Union to be used as stress urinary incontinence (SUI). It was approved to be used in Canada by the Health Canada authority in 2007 for treating depression and painful peripheral neuropathy. FDA also approved Cymbalta to be used as a curative for General Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

Cymbalta is also known by popular names like Duloxetine or Yentreve. In some of the tests for Cymbalta it has been proved as a better treatment for Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) than placebo. In 1998, Cymbalta provided results in improving conditions of stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Cymbalata is also used as a treatment for alleviating situations of general anxiety disorder (GAD) and it is considered as effective cure as venlafaxine.
