How to Take Clomipramine?

Clomipramine is obtained in a tablet form which can be taken once or twice a day in small dosage; there is no particular diet which should be followed by the patient unless prescribed by the doctor, take this drug only after consulting the doctor and should be taken as prescribed by him not more or less, if you have skipped any dosage in between then leave that particular dose and continue with the next dose but do not over dose with the previous one.

Clomipramine may take some weeks of time to produce its effects on your body, continue the dose till the date prescribed even if you fell better from that problem because stopping the drug suddenly may cause some health effects like head ache, nausea, weakness if such symptoms are seen then consult your doctor immediately.

Clomipramine itself is a toxic drug so you have to be very careful before taking this, usage of this drug along with other drugs may cause drastic health effects, inform your doctor about your previous health record what drugs have you taken recently or if you have undergone any surgery, be sure that you have not taken any drugs recently like monoamine oxidizes inhibitors like phenelzine, selegiline or any such drug so that usage of clomipramine is delayed to some weeks to avoid any side effects.
